Just replacing the current directory with the one for the file
selected will cause as many problems as it solves (for different
people.)

This will cause problems for those people who have their inclusions in
the directory which was current when xdvik was started.

Maybe . on the searchpath should be expanded to the location that
xdvik was started from and the location of a file found through
SELFILE (if used.)

I did look at this soon after I submitted the SELFILE patch but havn't
had time to look very hard.  If noone gets round to doing this in the
next few days I'll do it (whether you like my idea or not!)

By the way I've been slipping on TeX recently (I don't have LaTeX2e
yet for example), is the ls-R stuff integrated in tex yet or is it
still a series of patches?  I'd like ls-R for speed (I inverted my
font tree to reduce the number of stats on startup), but I'd expected
a new web2c release with it in...  :-(
